On behalf of the Executive Board of the Society for Ethnomusicology Southern California and Hawai’i Chapter (SEMSCHC), I eagerly announce our two-day 48th Annual Meeting, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday, February 22-23, 2014. The University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) Department of Music and Ethnomusicology program will graciously host the meeting.
Scott Marcus (UC Santa Barbara) is Chair of the 2014 Local Arrangements Committee. Mary Talusan Lacantale (Loyola Marymount University) is Chair of the 2014 Program Committee; its members include Christopher Adler (University of San Diego), Logan Elizabeth Clark (UCLA), Renee Lysloff (UC Riverside) and Frederick Lau (University of Hawai’i at Manoa).
